GCSE Maths Lecturer Hours: 22.5 hours per week (0.6) Location: Manchester Salary Scale: £28,600 - £32,200 per annum (pro rata) About the Role You will make maths relevant to our young people, through your inclusive lesson planning and delivery. You will mark and assess learner work, setting high expectations and motivating them to be the best that they can be. You will have an understanding of methods and good practice in reviewing and evaluating teaching & learning and behaviour management strategies. Be prepared to make maths exciting and relevant through your inclusive lesson plans, setting high expectations, and motivating our learners to be the best they can be. About you You will be a role model, providing learners with an exceptional educational experience that will enable them to maximise their potential. You will have up-to-date knowledge and an understanding of the GCSE Maths curriculum and experience with exam board requirements. You will hold GCSE Maths and English GCSEs at Grade 5 (or equivalent) or above and you will have a degree in a related subject. A teaching qualification is desirable but if you don’t have one, Access Creative College will fund and support you to get one. A successful track record of delivering GCSE maths would be the icing on the cake, however, this could be an ideal development opportunity for a newly qualified teacher or Maths graduate looking to get into teaching. You will work with experienced, passionate tutors as well as within a support service provided by our Central Team.
