Crane Engineer — Salary £40,000 - £45,000 | Location: Glasgow
Our client is a leading provider in the lifting equipment sector, renowned for their specialist services in testing, inspection, maintenance, certification, and training across cranes, lifting equipment, height safety equipment, pressure systems, and local exhaust ventilation systems. They are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Crane Engineer who is dedicated to safety and quality, capable of independently solving problems, yet equally effective within a team environment.
Responsibilities
* Conduct routine service inspections on overhead cranes and hoists
* Understand and ensure compliance with LOLER and PUWER regulations
* Consult with customers post-inspection, clearly communicating next steps with an emphasis on preventative maintenance
* Perform frontline maintenance, attend breakdowns, carry out fault-finding, retrofits, modernisations, and upgrades to customers' cranes and hoists
* Anticipate and prevent potential issues proactively
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND or City & Guilds qualification in Electrical Engineering
* Relevant experience with cranes and hoists
* Current UK driving licence
