SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time (September Start)
Blackburn, Lancashire
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Blackburn from September. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
* Support pupils’ emotional, social, and behavioural development
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
* Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to implement support plans
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN (essential)
* A patient, caring, and resilient nature
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
