Join to apply for the Forensic Custody Nurse or Paramedic role at NHS.
The role requires the flexibility to work not only in your base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area. No previous forensic experience is required as full training will be given.
Job Responsibilities
* Deliver healthcare to detainees in custody suites in collaboration with the Police, ensuring round-the-clock coverage in line with a schedule agreed with the client.
* Aim to provide exemplary care, maintaining the health and wellbeing of detainees and developing clinical, forensic, and broader professional skills.
* Work as a certified nurse or paramedic pursuing a career within the criminal justice system, contributing to a team that shares the vision of high-quality care.
Qualifications
* RN, RGN or (RMN with dual registration): 2 years post-qualification experience; Band 5 minimum
* Paramedic: 2 years post-qualification
* Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role within a relevant field (e.g., General Practice, A&E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk-in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service)
* Driving Licence (required)
* Right to work in the UK; British Passport or ILR for 3 years with no gaps out of the country of more than 3 months
* All candidates will be subject to Police Vetting
Additional Information
UK registration with the relevant professional body is required. Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks will be completed as part of the recruitment process.
