We are Resi, the UK's number one home extension company, and we are looking to hire a Head of Finance to join our management team on a full-time permanent basis. At Resi, we value technical excellence, but we are looking for a Head of Finance with more than traditional years-on-paper. We’re searching for someone with sharp commercial instincts, confident technical grounding, and the ambition to lead the finance function at the UK’s #1 home extension platform.
This is a pivotal role, not just in keeping the numbers tight, but in actively shaping the strategic future of the business. The real value add? Your FP&A leadership. You’ll guide our leadership team on where to invest, when to pivot, and how to use cash as a true growth engine. Key Responsibilities:
Reporting
* Preparation and design of management accounts
* Preparation of design of board packs alongside co-founders
* Working closely with the founders and Exec team on data and analytics and how that supports decision-making across the business
Forecasting
* Short-term cash flow forecasting (13-week rolling tactical cashflow)
* 5-year yearly forecast model
Financial controls and policies
* Financial controls in place to make sure, including coordinating with Ops teams on collections
* Payroll
* Support the annual Audit process
* End-of-year submissions
Financial Strategy
* Preparation of materials to support fundraising and involvement in pitching as required
* Recommendations to increase the profitability of the business to commercial stakeholders within the team
Accounting and Bookkeeping
* Ownership and delivery of accounting processes that support the Management of Accounting
* Point of contact for external accountants
* Reconciliations, including demonstrating a strong understanding of the makeup of the balance sheet
* VAT returns
* HMRC / Companies House submissions, including those for share options schemes
* Pension administration
* Oversight of the Cap Table and management of insurance policies
About You - You will ideally have:
* 4-5 years of business and finance experience, ideally with some audit background
* Preferably with experience from one of the UKs Top 30 Accountancy Firms
* Chartered accountant
* Experience managing a small finance team
* Ability to interact with the board and investors
* Has worked within a start-up or scale-up environment
* Ideally working at a head of finance level, financial controller, or as a senior finance manager
* Articulate and commercially astute
* A passion for technology innovation and driven by new ideas

Resi are a team of ~80 people based in the heart of Oval, South London. We have a hybrid work set up where we operate three days in the office (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) and two days from home (Wednesday and Friday).
