If yes, this role could be for you. We have been engaged by one of the UK\'s leading waste management organisations to recruit an Environmental Manager. The role will be overseeing various environmental initiatives with local authorities across their site in Southampton.
Responsibilities
* Ensure full compliance with environmental legislation
* Maintain the site Environmental Management System (EMS) and ensure continued ISO14001 certification
* Monitor and manage Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions, reporting progress towards their Net Zero and sustainability goals
* Liaise with the Environment Agency and be the main point of contact for key stakeholders
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a similar role within waste, chemicals or a related industry
* Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
* The ability to influence and engage with all levels of the organisation
* Preferably some experience in environmental management or sustainability roles
