Year 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Temporary Role
North Tyneside –Whitley Bay
£446.40-475 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)
The School and Role:
We are currently looking for a caring and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in year 1 at a warm ad inclusive primary school in Whitley Bay. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early learning and making a meaningful difference to a child’s school experience.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil throughout the school day
- Support learning across the curriculum, including literacy and numeracy
- Assist with social, emotional and behavioural development where required
- Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to follow individual support plans
- Help create a safe, positive and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with EYFS or KS1 pupils (Year 1 experience preferred)
- Be patient, nurturing and clam in their approach
- Understand SEND and individual learning needs
- Be reliable, adaptable and able to build positive relationships quickly
- Hold a relevant teaching Assistant qualification (desired but not essential)
