Opportunity for a dedicated Dental Hygienist/Therapist to join our team at HMP Feltham.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Dental Hygienist/Therapist to provide essential oral healthcare services one day per week (Monday), from 9am to 5pm, at HMP Feltham. About the Role
As a Dental Hygienist/Therapist at HMP Feltham, you will have full clinical freedom to work within your scope of practice, delivering comprehensive oral health promotion and treatment. You will be an integral part of our healthcare team, focusing on improving the oral health outcomes for individuals within the prison system. This role offers the chance to engage with a diverse patient population, many of whom have complex needs and may have had limited access to dental care previously.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a full range of dental hygiene and therapy treatments within your GDC scope of practice.
* Develop and implement oral health promotion initiatives tailored to the needs of the prison population.
* Work autonomously while collaborating with the wider healthcare team.
* Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to all clinical governance standards.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of dental services, with opportunities to get involved with research projects.
Requirements
* GDC Registration: Essential.
* Right to Work in the UK: Essential.
* Security Clearance: Required for the successful candidate. This will be arranged and facilitated by the employer.
* Experience: Previous experience working with diverse or vulnerable populations is desirable but not essential.
