Rehabilitation Specialist – Glasgow Hospital

Hours: 18 hours per week
Salary: Up to £27,985.32 pro rata per annum depending on experience
We are looking for a Rehabilitation Specialist to help us build a healthier nation. The role involves remote and in‑person facilitation of exercise, emotional wellbeing support, healthy eating guidance, and goal setting to aid participant recovery. This position supports Nuffield Health’s long‑term vision for clinical rehabilitation and requires delivering digital and group exercise classes, managing 12‑week rehabilitation programmes, and promoting self‑directed activity.
* Organise and run rolling 12‑week rehabilitation programmes.
* Facilitate both live‑stream and in‑person group exercise classes for participants with varying levels of ability.
* Promote self‑directed activity using on‑demand classes and a patient journal to enable post‑programme self‑management.
* Adjust exercises and intensities based on regular progress reviews.
* Identify participant deterioration and follow internal escalation processes, ensuring timely reporting and accurate outcome data.
* Conduct weekly 1‑to‑1 telephone coaching sessions focusing on goal setting, progress monitoring, emotional support, and empowerment.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification (essential).
* Problem‑solving and diagnostic skills.
* Organisational and decision‑making abilities.
* Time and resource management.
* Experience working with vulnerable adults.
* Good English and numerical skills.
* Preferred: previous Rehabilitation Specialist experience.
* Optional: BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation.
