The McDermott group are looking for an HSEQ Advisor to be based in Perth. You will play a crucial role in helping the organisation maintain high standards in health, safety, environmental protection, and quality management.
Holidays: 30 days. Holiday buy back scheme of additional 5 days.

Creation, Monitoring and Maintenance of the procedures referenced within the Quality Management System
Provide relevant training to internal personnel
Report on the performance of the HSEQ processes and on opportunities for improvement
Ensure the promotion of customer focus throughout the organisation
Ensure that the integrity of the HSEQ management system is maintained
Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced
Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered too
Prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policies relevant to the business
Lead in-house training with managers and employees about all QHSE matters and risks
Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry
Attend Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) seminars and read professional journals
Produce management reports, newsletters, and bulletins
asbestos (COSHH)
fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery, and occupational diseases
Manage and monitor emergency procedures, signage, PPE, COSHH control etc.
NEBOSH General or equivalent
Demonstrate a passion for Health, Safety, Environment & Quality with robust knowledge and understanding of these subjects
Able to work as a member of a team, but also capable of working alone to tight deadlines as appropriate, setting own high-quality standards
Proficient with MS Office – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
A strong working knowledge of Risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and Display Screen Equipment
Auditor training/experience
Full UK Driving licence and must be willing to travel
