The Role:
Working within the HotStats operations department, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team. Your role will be pivotal in supporting the rapid development of HotStats and its related services for the hotel industry.
Skills / Competencies:
This position requires strong administration skills combined with technical IT capabilities. The successful candidate will need to:
* Have a working knowledge of accounting or relevant industry operational experience.
* Be able to read, understand, and interrogate hotel profit and loss statements.
* Possess sound technical knowledge of Excel and an understanding of database operations. Training will be provided.
* Be eager to develop skills in these areas with appropriate training.
* Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Functions and Tasks:
The HotStats Database
Your main responsibility will be maintaining the quality of the HotStats database and managing your assigned data sources. This includes building relationships with data contacts and responding to customer inquiries.
Data Maintenance:
Monthly:
* Perform integrity checks on monthly performance data using standard routines and spot checks.
* Process P&L data using translation tools and input into the database.
* Update hotel status, alerts, and notes in the database.
Ongoing:
* Conduct regular data quality audits and spot checks.
* Ensure compliance with the Uniform System of Accounts.
* Liaise with customers to resolve data quality issues.
Reporting Functions:
Monthly:
* Assist in producing monthly reports.
* Run PR data, market data, and bespoke reports.
* Check report quality.
As needed:
* Prepare hotel market performance reports for external clients.
Data Analysis:
* Support data analysis for specific projects or presentations.
* Conduct original research for PR or publications.
