Our Corporate Treasury Practice is looking for talented professionals to deliver consultative Treasury assurance and advisory services to our high profile global and UK clients within this dynamic area of our business. This is an exciting time to join our team and help build out an emerging practice at EY, with opportunities for learning and personal growth.
Responsibilities
* Treasury systems design, selection and implementation: provide specialist advice on the design of the future treasury function, develop transformation plans, manage Treasury Management System implementation from initiation to completion.
* Corporate Treasury Advisory and Consulting: maturity assessments; treasury transformation projects; controls and governance reviews; cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, bank account rationalisation, banking RFPs, financial due diligence support.
* EY Audit Support: provide independent expert knowledge to EY Audit clients on financial instrument valuations, hedge accounting, expected credit loss calculations and incremental borrowing rate calculations.
* Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS): directly advising non-EY Audit clients on accounting for financial instruments under IFRS 9, IFRS 13, IFRS 16 and FRS 102.
* Establish, maintain, and strengthen internal and external relationships and networks.
* Manage client engagement risk and supervise the team to ensure client deliverables are met.
* Provide subject matter expertise to clients on industry best practices and emerging trends.
* People and performance management, coaching junior colleagues throughout the performance year.
Qualificatons
* One of the following:
o Fully qualified chartered accountant (ACCA, ACA, CA, CPA, ICAS, or international equivalent) with external audit experience; OR
o Treasury qualification (ACT, AMCT, CFA) with experience in a Corporate Finance or Treasury role; OR
o Degree level education (preferably Accounting/Finance);
o Treasury Management System certification (Kyriba, FIS, GTreasury, ION, SAP, etc).
* Relevant professional Treasury experience (e.g., Corporate Treasury, hedge accounting, valuations) or experience with treasury or financial risk system software vendors.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
* Ability to assess business practices and identify gaps and opportunities for improvement compared to typical industry practices.
* Experience and understanding of treasury operations, including treasury systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA), cash management, financial risk management, funding and debt management, and bank relationship management.
* Experience with treasury governance, process risks and controls.
* Knowledge of accounting and valuations of financial instruments (IFRS, UK GAAP or equivalent).
* Interest in Financial Markets, Corporate Treasury, and/or financial risk modelling.
* Ability to explain specialised concepts to non-technical audiences.
