Hours of Work
40 hours per week on a rolling 2 week rota.
Main Purposes
To ensure the smooth operation of the Weighbridge facility and be the first point of contact for all vehicles entering site. Responsible for ensuring that all legal obligations and regulations are met, the Feedstock acceptance and rejection processes are adhered to, carry out driver and site inductions ensuring Health and safety measures are followed and non-conformities are reported.
Responsibilities
* Operate the weighbridge and manage the safe flow of vehicles entering and leaving site.
* Inspect incoming loads to ensure compliance with site permit, acceptance criteria and EWC classifications.
* Accurately log vehicle weights, feedstock types and associated documentation, ensuring full data integrity.
* Process delivery notes and tickets accurately and efficiently.
* Immediately report any contamination or non-conforming wastes delivered to the appropriate manager and ensure all site acceptance and rejection procedures are fully enforced.
* Quality control feedstocks delivered in using appropriate equipment to support, such as Dry Matter tabletop ovens and NIR 4 Wired Scanning tool.
* Accurate data capture of all harvested feedstocks coming over the Murrow AD weighbridge
* Report any anomalies/errors to the weighbridge system to the appropriate people immediately.
* Maintain relationships and deal with queries from customers and site visitors.
* Provide clear guidance to drivers on site rules, safety requirements, and induction processes, and promptly report any non‑conformances.
* Conduct site and driver inductions, ensuring all safety rules and operational procedures are clearly communicated and consistently enforced.
* Verify that all vehicles have correct paperwork for both inbound and outbound movements
* Compile compliance records for materials in and out of the site.
* Generate daily and weekly weighbridge reports, proactively resolving any discrepancies and reporting driver infringements in line with site procedures.
* Complete daily KPI and feedstock reporting, ensuring timely distribution to relevant teams.
* Coordinate movements of on-site goods including bulk feedstocks and operational materials.
* Liaise closely with the AD operations and procurement teams to manage incoming feedstock planning.
* Assist with general administrative duties and customer service, answering the telephone and directing calls as appropriate.
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and HR procedures.

Qualifications
* Previous experience of working on a weighbridge is desirable
Skills
* Computer literate with a working understanding of Microsoft Office
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Ability to communicate with a wide range of people
* Attention to detail and accuracy of data input
Knowledge
* A good understanding of Health and Safety expectations
Experience
* Familiar with data entry and reporting database applications
* Background in the waste, recycling or construction industry preferred but not essential
* Experience with Weighbase software is advantageous
* Experience with traffic management is preferred but not essential
