We have a new position open for an Head of Quality of Curriculum & Teaching to join a dynamic team at a thriving nursery near St Albans. Located in the Bricket Wood area a few minutes’ walk from Bricket Wood train station. The nursery is an attractive setting for professionals. We’re proud of our beautiful outdoor space, the wonderful families we cater for in the local community, and our warm, welcoming staff team that genuinely feels like a small family. The nursery is open 51 weeks per year Monday to Friday 7.30AM - 6.30PM, closing 1 week between Christmas and New Year. The Head of Quality of Curriculum & Teaching is a senior leadership role responsible for driving excellence across all aspects of educational provision within the nursery.
Responsibilities
* Working closely and collaboratively with both Nursery Directors and the Nursery Manager, the post holder will ensure the nursery not only meets but consistently exceeds the Ofsted Early Years Inspection Framework, with a particular focus on Quality of Education and Achievement.
* The role is highly visible and hands-on; the successful candidate will role model best practice daily within the rooms.
* Lead a culture of accountability, ambition and continuous improvement across the nursery.
* Act as the main parent liaison and lead safeguarding, health and safety, children’s wellbeing, inclusivity, behaviour and attitudes.
* Support development of apprentices and practitioners.

Key Qualifications and Requirements
* Full and relevant Level 3 qualification
* 12 hours paediatric first aid and first aid at work
* Senior leadership experience within an early years setting, with development of successful ongoing performance management and impact measurements, in close partnership with the Nursery Director
* In-depth knowledge of EYFS and the Ofsted Early Years Inspection Framework, with successful management leading to ‘Good or better’ regulatory inspection outcomes
* Proven ability to drive quality, achievement and improvement, the ability to follow guidelines and work with others to achieve success
* Strong safeguarding and health & safety knowledge, relevant safeguarding/child protection training undertaken and a willingness to update training regularly
* Outstanding role model of practice with an exceptional work ethic
* Excellent communication and relationship management skills
