We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our team who will investigate and progress MJDI Application related incidents within the Defence sector.
You will also provide guidance and assistance to Support, Development and Test Teams in the progression of corrective and adaptive application changes. Additionally, you will be responsible for the timely completion of problem record impact assessments.
You will be working on a programme that supports a tri-service (Air, Land, Sea) stock management system for the UK Ministry of Defence.
Knowledge of Oracle technologies (Database, Forms, Reports) is required. Previous military experience could be advantageous.
This role is a flexible hybrid position, with travel to Milton Keynes as needed. Candidates must be willing and eligible to achieve SC clearance, if not already held.
The service operates from 7am-7pm, requiring staggered working hours.
Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring the timely progression of Incidents.
* Completing Problem Impact Assessments promptly.
* Liaising with Application Developers regarding incident resolution and problem solutions.
* Collaborating with Incident and Problem Managers to prevent SLA breaches.
* Participating in internal and external progress meetings.
* Reviewing functional and design specifications to ensure business integrity for system enhancements and fixes.
* Maintaining Functional Specifications and User Manuals/Guides.
Qualifications and skills:
* Deep knowledge of the MJDI Application.
* ITIL v4 Foundation Certification.
* Working knowledge of MJDI data structure.
* UK SC clearance or eligibility.
Preferred additional skills:
* Experience with reporting tools like IBM Cognos.
* Knowledge of security risk assessments and business impact mitigation.
* Understanding of the military customer environment.
* Proficiency with MS Office applications.
