We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer based in Bedford for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.
Summary of the Field Service Engineer role
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
Location: Bedford
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 Hours
Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer
* Repair, refurbishment, installations & commissioning of machinery
* Travel across the UK and Ireland
* You will also be expected to travel to Italian Head Office occasionally for training and & machine testing and very occasionally deployed worldwide if required
* Overtime paid door-to-door outside of normal working hours
* Full product training will be provided
Requirements for a successful Field Service Engineer
* Qualified Multi Skilled Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical)
* Ability to read electrical diagrams and fault find from them
* Ability to mechanically fault find and repair
* Good fault diagnosis / problem solving skills
* Basic PLC Fault Finding knowledge
* Willing to travel within UK & Ireland (Some overseas travel may be required)
* Willing to work away from home for periods up to 5 days (or more on occasions)
* Willing to work changeable hours
* Full Clean Driving License
* Ability to use MS Office
* Good Communication Skills
* Report Writing Skills
* Able to work independently or part of a team
* Fluent English spoken and written
