Job Introduction On Street Bus shelter Cleaning Supervisor - WYCA Department: Cleaning Reporting to: Cleaning Manager Contract West Yorkshire Combined Authority Hours of Work: 40hrs per week Monday to Friday 0430-1300 (some flexible working between 0500-1700) Hourly rate £13.60ph (annual equals to £28,365) Carlisle are currently seeking a Team leader to support the Cleaning Manager and the management team on the WYCA Bus shelter Cleaning contract. As the Team leader within the cleaning department of the business you will help manage the WYCA Bus shelter Cleaning contract with the Contract Manager in order to enhance Carlisle Cleaning’s reputation and ensure the profit potential of the contract is realized, whilst maintaining high corporate standards at all times. Note: This role will may require travel within the UK Responsibilities MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This role will include a variety of tasks including the following: To motivate and support site staff to ensure maximum efficiency, take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the cleaning service provision provided to the client, WYCA, to make sure contractual standards are delivered to the required standard and develop good working relationships with all client representatives. Key Accountabilities Manage the issuing of all uniforms to new starters together with the instructions that outline the standards of presentation expected and the consequences for a failure to meet those standards. Monitor staff performance taking remedial action where required and using corporate guidelines where performance fails to meet the standard. Be responsible for operational performance against defined performance standards as designated by the contract. Maintain effective communication and contact with the Contract Manager to ensure operational performance and standards match Company policies and procedures. Carry out frequent inspections on staff, compile reports, issue instructions and in general control the service delivery. Report on these matters to Contract Manager on a daily basis. To ensure staffing levels meet operational requirements to ensure that standards are maintained. Ensure service levels are set and monitored in order to deliver a consistently high level of service to our clients by completing cleaning audit, periodic checks, machinery/ equipment checks, and any other relevant monitoring tools as required Provide support and guidance to the Shelter cleaning team & support wider cleaning teams on the contract Ensure operatives have clear objectives and their performance is regularly reviewed. Manage the team by means of weekly meetings, reports, counselling, and training. Ensure effective staff meetings are arranged and attended for all shifts Take responsibility for ensuring compliance with Company procedures and policies, in particular proper completion of necessary paperwork systems for quality, environment, health and safety. Ensure compliance with legal requirements. Monitor customer satisfaction and service levels including agreed KPIs, design and implement appropriate action plans to improve standards where necessary. Ensure effective staff training and development; including succession plans are in place. To ensure that all employee work for Carlisle Cleaning on the contract comply with all client and company policies and procedures and adhere to the statutory obligations contained in the Health and Safety at Work legislation Travel around the West Yorkshire Combined authority area conducting support to front line teams assisting with cleaning regime where required. & conducting audits of cleaning standards which includes, Litter picking, sweeping, cleaning of shelters using the reach & wash systems, wiping and washing poster frames, Emptying bins, removal of graffiti.
