The Role
Advanced Water Company is seeking a commercially capable and structured Head of Finance to lead the finance function during the next phase of growth and professionalisation.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for financial governance, reporting structure and cash flow management across all group companies. The successful candidate will strengthen financial visibility, implement structured cash flow forecasting and provide commercial insight to support margin protection and long-term growth.
The Head of Finance will play a key role within the senior leadership team, ensuring the financial stability required to support business expansion.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and develop the Finance function across all group companies.
• Own the preparation and presentation of structured monthly management accounts.
• Implement and maintain rolling 12-month cash flow forecasting.
• Lead annual budgeting and financial planning processes.
• Strengthen working capital governance (debtors, creditors, inventory).
• Ensure rebate accrual accuracy and margin visibility.
• Provide commercial financial insight to support Procurement, Sales and Marketing.
• Maintain financial regulatory compliance and control frameworks.
• Oversee year-end accounting processes and liaise with external advisors.
• Support system and reporting development in alignment with business operating standards.
Key Skills & Experience
• Fully or part qualified accountant (AAT/ ACCA / CIMA preferred).
• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within an SME environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in margin analysis and working capital management.
• Experience implementing structured reporting and financial governance frameworks.
• Experience working within multi-entity structures desirable.
• Strong ERP experience (Sage 200 preferred).
• Excel and financial modelling capability.
• Confident communicator able to influence at senior level.
• Structured, calm and commercially disciplined approach.
• Lives within commutable distance of Pershore (WR10).
