About the Role
Position: Systems Engineer – Biometrics (Job ID: 42828, Location: Cardiff, UK)

Responsibilities
* Conduct testing of physical access control products, address and resolve customer‑reported issues, report bugs, and create and execute test plans and test cases.
* Perform black‑box and automation testing.
* Set up and maintain the testing environment in the lab, including Windows, Android, and iOS platforms.
* Validate and troubleshoot issues, provide information to the development team, and assist in resolving them.
* Conduct regression testing before release.
* Communicate effectively regarding issues, objectives, initiatives, and processes to plan.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education
* Possesses or working toward a degree or equivalent qualification or 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* IT/IP networking and associated technologies.
* Lean and Agile methodologies, including SAFe.
* Access control management via head‑end or IAM systems.
* Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
* Familiar with operating systems such as Windows, Android, iOS.
* Working knowledge of networking, switches, routers, etc.
