Management Accountant - 12 Month Maternity Cover

The company manufactures over two million procedure packs and vascular access devices every year for a range of specialties including Cardiology, Radiology, Pacing, Laparoscopy, and Cardiac Surgery; and its unique, ground-breaking central venous catheter technology is helping to reduce patient risk in hospitals across the world.
As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for producing detailed financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, alongside providing business-critical analysis. Working closely with various departments, you will ensure financial targets are met and provide recommendations to drive improvements in profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts to senior management.
* Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
* Perform detailed financial analysis, highlighting key variances and trends.
* Monitor cash flows, prepare cash forecasts, and support financial planning.
* Provide financial insights to department heads, assisting in cost management and decision-making.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
* Support in the preparation of year-end accounts and external audits.
* Assist in process improvements and implementing more efficient reporting mechanisms.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Fully qualified (ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA) or QBE with 5+ years relevant experience.
* Strong experience in management accounting and financial analysis within a manufacturing environment.
* Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
* Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar).
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Good understanding of standard costing of stock in manufacturing
