About the job:
As a Technical Product Owner for Data, your responsibilities include:
1. Full accountability for facilitating the delivery of data analytics products and services, working with a dedicated Data Engineering team.
2. Overseeing the delivery of new data analytics capabilities and platform enhancements in line with the Aviva Zero Data Strategy, platform roadmap, and architecture patterns.
3. Facilitating the delivery of regulatory, performance, and financial data to the central BI reporting teams.
4. Leading stakeholder engagement and prioritization strategies, enabling internal and external demand, and providing clear direction to the Data Engineering team, working with Lead Data Engineers on sprint plans and delivery targets.
5. Providing oversight to a team responsible for developing, constructing, testing, and maintaining user-friendly data architectures and designing innovative solutions for data science, while ensuring effective data governance.
6. Leading the expansion of the Aviva Zero Data Strategy, focusing on Data Quality and Data Governance requirements.
7. Supporting good customer outcomes through all activities and deliverables, ensuring actions align with good faith, harm prevention, and customer financial objectives.
8. Overseeing business analysis and requirements definition activities, driving high performance, efficiency, and quality, while supporting performance management and coaching.
Skills and experience required:
* Solid experience as a data-focused product manager, ideally within insurance, with knowledge of data modeling and querying techniques; Snowflake experience is a bonus.
* Experience handling complex, high-pressure data analytics requirements.
* Versatility with multiple delivery methodologies and strong stakeholder management skills, balancing pace with technical risk.
* Technological adeptness and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and architectures.
* Confident in leading cross-functional change initiatives, managing product strategy alongside regulatory, security, and legal compliance.
