Engine Dynamometer Technician
Location: Oxfordshire
Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30 – 16:30, Friday 07:30 – 12:00. hours.
Permanent
Holiday Entitlement: 33-days (inclusive of bank holidays)
Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities of the Engine Dynamometer Technician:
* Produce engines and or products as required following correct issue number of build standards and special instructions.
* Test engines in test tanks on engine dynamometers where required.
* Dynamometer testing rebuilt and new engines.
* Produce and record test data.
* Ensure that all engine dynamometers are fully working at all times and organise any repairs or maintenance.
* Liaise with Senior R&D and Production Manager
* Carry out repairs and/or overhaul of customer products.
* Collect or deliver parts, consumables, or equipment for job.
* Maintain and drive company vehicles to collect or deliver parts, consumables, or equipment, as required and when appropriate.
The Ideal Engine Dynamometer Technician Candidate:
* NVQ City & Guilds or equivalent in Vehicle Mechanics or Engineering
* Experience in Diesel Engines
* Ideally 5 years practical experience in a busy workshop/production environment
* Working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act
* Working knowledge of 2 and 4 stroke engines - petrol & diesel
