About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sales Ledger and Billing Officer to join our dedicated finance team at our Head Office in Bromsgrove. In this full-time, permanent position, you will play a crucial role in achieving our cash collection targets and minimizing debts of concern.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Raise sales invoices in line with customer invoicing terms and pre-agreed billing setups.
* Create free-text invoices for one-off rechargeable costs.
* Chase local authority accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve queries professionally.
* Accurately allocate incoming payments across the ledger.
* Manage queries with regions and customers, demonstrating proactive resolution skills.
* Reduce current debtor days on the ledger to agreed targets per customer and region.
* Maintain concise communication records and stay organized.
* Ensure accurate invoicing for all services delivered across allocated regions/homes.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to network at all levels.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office to enhance your efficiency.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines consistently.
* Experience in a similar sales ledger/credit control role, ideally with local authority payments.
* Familiarity with integrated finance systems to streamline processes.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position, requiring 35 hours per week. You will be based at our Head Office in Bromsgrove, where you will be part of a supportive and collaborative team.
