Welsh Speaking Teacher Job Available in Cardiff Primary School Your school Hays are recruiting for a Welsh Medium Primary School based in Cardiff that educates over 200 children aged 3–11 years. The school provides a safe and supportive environment for children to develop and learn. There is a positive working environment, with strong communication channels and a real passion for the Welsh language and culture – which is core to the school’s life and work. Your role The school are looking for a Welsh Speaking Primary Teacher to start ASAP; it’s a full-time role in the foundation phase, teaching 5 days a week. The role will likely resume in September.The role is traditional classroom teaching, including lesson planning and preparation, marking of work, assessment, and parent evenings. You will have support from a fully qualified LSA (Learning Support Assistant). What you’ll need to succeed You will need to have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and experience of teaching in the past 5 years. Foundation phase experience would be advantageous.You will need to be a Welsh speaker: fluent and confident teaching in the medium of Welsh.You will have a passion for the education of children and the Welsh language and culture, take pride in your work, and the ability to form effective working relationships with staff and parents.You will provide stimulating learning experiences to engage pupils, and act as a positive role model.
