Overview
Join to apply for the Autism Practitioners (Support Workers), South West Area role at Scottish Autism.
We currently provide housing support to 30 autistic people across Lanark, Biggar & Carluke. We encourage and empower individuals to access opportunities that matter to them including work placements, voluntary projects and a variety of social opportunities. At Scottish Autism we acknowledge the specialist support our staff provide to autistic individuals; those doing support work are known as Autism Practitioners. As an Autism Practitioner, you will work as part of a team to provide person-centered support.
Note: This is a weekend-friendly role intended to fit around other commitments. A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential. You will be required to undertake shift work including weekends and evenings; flexibility toward working hours is key. Applications from people with lived experience of autism are welcome. PVG Disclosure checks apply, and staff must register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within the specified timeframe.
