Job Overview: Seeking an on‑site IT support technician to support a laptop refresh project. Role includes preparing and refreshing devices, managing device handovers, updating workflow records, and assisting users during migration. SC clearance required.
1. Location: Catterick
2. Contract: 2nd March’26 – 31st March’26
3. Mandatory check: SC Clearance
4. Pay Rates:
5. Umbrella Rate: £ (via a Hays approved umbrellapany).
6. PAYE Basic Rate: £
7. Hours: hours a week. Monday – Friday.
8. Time: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
9. Migration Set-up
10. Set-up Refresh Clinic
11. Move the required quantity of devices as instructed by the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager from the onsite storage location to the Refresh Clinic location.
12. Login to any system as required via device(s) provided by the contractor’s engineer and Site Manager and under their instructions.
13. Refresh laptops
14. Collect existing devices from users and handover new devices in accordance with the migration schedule and project processes
15. Handover and collect the correct number of devices each in accordance with the migration schedule.
16. Correctly update the Contractor’s workflow management system at all relevant steps
17. Report issues arising from migration activity promptly and accurately to the contractor engineer and Site Manager.
18. Where issues cannot be resolved immediately, pass them over to an onsite Post Migration Support Engineer.
19. Conduct manual stock checks daily and report findings to the contractor engineer and site manager.
20. Place existing devices collected from users at the Refresh Clinic within the packaging that was used to contain a new device and, in accordance with the device Designation Rules, mark the outside of the box to indicate whether it is for “disposal” or for refurbishment.
21. At the end of each day, they move all the devices and equipment into the onsite storage location.
22. Must be SC Cleared
