Overview
We have an opportunity for a Rehabilitation Assistant to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis; you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties Of This Role Include
* Work collaboratively with nursing, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy teams to deliver rehabilitation programmes tailored to individual patient needs.
* Assist with mobility and positioning, including the safe use of hoists and mobility aids.
* Help patients engage in purposeful activities that promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional recovery.
* Support patients and service users to access appointments, leisure, and community-based activities.
* Act as a key worker for assigned patients, advocating for their needs and ensuring consistent delivery of care plans.
* Develop therapeutic relationships while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
* Diploma/Degree in a Sport Related subject and relevant experience working in a MSK Rehabilitation setting.
* Level 2/3 gym/instructor/personal trainer or level 3 exercise referral/level 4 qualification/equivalent with experience delivering groups sessions.
* Experience of working as part of a Physiotherapy team or within the fitness industry.
* At least 150 hours previous experience of working with specialist populations, for example exercise referral, cardiac, back care, falls, etc.
* Full UK driving licence.
