As our new Senior Lab Technician, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the validation of our methods in line with regulatory requirements and act as the primary voice of analytical chemical testing—translating complex technical insights for internal teams and external stakeholders.

The role is based at our ISO 17025 accredited Laboratory at the Arco Discovery Centre in Hull.

3. Planning, scheduling, and monitoring compliance of all standardised analytical test methods and laboratory equipment, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
4. Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, addressing risks, and documenting actions as part of internal audits, driving corrective actions.
5. Assisting the Laboratory Manager in training, evaluating staff, and conducting internal technical and QMS audits.
6. Managing and prioritising workflow to ensure requests and testing plans are completed within SLAs.
7. Performing laboratory testing according to internal and external procedures, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 standards.
8. Reporting opinions and interpreting results for internal and external customers.
9. Checking new product data for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance, and advising on material suitability and corrective actions for development samples.
10. Contributing to technical training, demonstrations, and presentations for employees and customers.
11. Participating in technical standard committees and trade body groups.

* High street discounts via MyArco Perks.
* 24-hour Employee Assistance Programme.
* Access to Learning Management System for development.
