We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic entry-level Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. This position will work within the Electrical Engineering team to design and develop electrical hardware for ongoing and upcoming new product development efforts at DEKA.
How you will make an impact:
* Work with an interdisciplinary team to develop innovative hardware solutions for new medical products from concept through production.
* Design and develop complex analog and digital electrical circuit schematics and layouts for printed circuit assemblies.
* Develop functional design requirements and specifications.
* Select circuit board components, including discrete and integrated circuit parts, based on analysis of specifications.
* Test and troubleshoot circuits and systems using hardware/software tools and fixtures.
* Develop prototype circuit designs and test fixtures.
* Perform circuit simulation and modeling to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.
* Carry out detailed Design Verification activities and document methods and results.
* Develop firmware code on embedded platforms with low-level programming interfaces.
* Demonstrate the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering.
* Coursework in Analog and Digital Circuit design, Microprocessor Programming.
* At least 1 year of experience in product design or development.
* Background in designing and analyzing analog and digital circuits.
* Experience with circuit modeling tools such as MATLAB and PSpice.
* Proficiency in writing test scripts in Python.
* Experience in microprocessor programming in C/C++.
* Schematic capture and layout skills using CAD tools like Orcad or Altium.
* Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues and identify root causes.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Good presentation skills.
