Job Title: General Farm Worker – Beef Unit

About the Role
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable General Farm Worker to join a progressive beef unit managing approximately 1,500 cattle. The role offers a varied workload across all aspects of beef production and would suit someone with strong livestock handling skills and a proactive approach to farm work.
Key Responsibilities
* Daily care of cattle, including feeding, bedding, and monitoring livestock health and welfare.
* Assisting with calving, weaning, and general herd management.
* Routine stock checks and accurate record keeping.
* Cleaning and maintaining housing, yards, and equipment.
* Operating farm machinery (tractors, telehandlers, feeders, etc.) safely and efficiently.
* Supporting veterinary and technical staff when required.
* Assisting with maintenance of fencing, water systems, and general farm infrastructure.
* Adhering to health, safety, and biosecurity standards at all times.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with cattle (essential).
* Competence in livestock handling and welfare.
* Machinery operation skills (telehandler, tractor, feeding equipment).
* Good awareness of animal health, treatments, and farm safety.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexible, reliable, and willing to work in all weather conditions.
* Full UK driving licence (telehandler certificate an advantage).
