.Business Manager – GP Practices (Part-Time), NHS Lothian and Fife
Location: Gracemount Medical Practice & Park Road Medical Practice
Hours: 20 hours per week (negotiable)
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum (FTE, pro-rata; negotiable depending on experience)
Start Date: November 2025 (flexible)
Term: 1 year fixed with option to extend
We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and experienced Business Manager to support the operations and long-term planning of two well-established GP practices: Gracemount Medical Practice in Edinburgh and Park Road Medical Practice in Rosyth. With a combined patient list size of approximately 16,000 and growing, these practices are led by 3 GP Partners and supported by a wide multidisciplinary team of clinicians, managers, and admin staff. Main base will be at Gracemount with element of hybrid working possible.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing and executing long-term strategic business plans
* Overseeing financial management, including budget planning and performance reporting
* Leading change management and innovation across both practices
* Supporting practice managers with HR, IT, premises, and patient services
* Liaising with external stakeholders including Health Boards, IJBs, and PCNs
What You Bring:
* Substantial experience in business or operational management
* A proven track record in strategic and financial planning
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Preferred:
* Background in healthcare or NHS settings
* Degree or equivalent qualification in management, business, or healthcare administration.
