Overview
Our client, a well-established company, is recruiting an organised, proactive and flexible Bookkeeper to join their team on a permanent basis. This role can be full or part time and hybrid working. Reporting to the Financial Director.
Responsibilities
* Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
* Perform month-end reconciliations.
* Monitor financial transactions and reports.
* Process accounts receivable and payable.
* Process checks.
* Prepare VAT returns.
* Monitor and manage the sales and purchase ledgers.
* Support the Financial Director with cash flow forecasting, departmental budgeting, and cost centre analysis to drive efficiencies and improve workflows across the business.
* Assist with monthly payroll using accounting software.
* Communicate with HMRC, banks and external auditors when required.
* Forge excellent and effective working relationships with all departments and colleagues.
Qualifications
* Experience within a similar accounts role.
* Good numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent communication (verbal and written).
* Good working knowledge of spreadsheets and accounting software, such as Xero, SAGE or QuickBooks.
* An accounting qualification could be beneficial.
