Purpose of the Job
Supreme Guarding Services Ltd, an S.I.A Approved contractor, specializes in security solutions, facilities management, catering, and property management in the UK. We partner with a national organization providing high-quality care, support, and accommodation to vulnerable groups, including displaced people in emergency accommodation.
We are seeking a Head Chef to manage food preparation and kitchen activities at a hotel. This role involves designing menus, leading the kitchen team, ensuring quality standards, and overseeing kitchen operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensure kitchen staff adhere to the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) based on HACCP principles.
* Stay updated with culinary trends and ensure food meets NHS Eatwell standards and cultural/dietary requirements.
* Manage supplier relationships and ensure quality goods.
* Handle inventory and order stock per company processes.
* Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance and organize repairs.
* Train and develop staff, manage staff issues, and take disciplinary action when needed.
* Involve in hiring and building the kitchen team.
* Ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations, working closely with local authority representatives.
* Address guest comments and complaints constructively.
Role Criteria
* Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role.
* Extensive experience in a high-volume restaurant.
* Proficient culinary skills and knowledge.
* Food Hygiene Level 3 certification.
* Experience managing a diverse team.
* High standards for quality fresh food.
* Excellent leadership skills.
