We are working with a highly successful, market leading industrial services business seeking to appoint a Managing Director to lead the next phase of its growth and a potential future transaction.
This is a rare opportunity to take full leadership of a well established, profitable business operating in a specialist, high barrier market with strong structural growth drivers.
The Opportunity
The business has built a leading position in its niche, combining sales, service and aftermarket support to a diverse UK wide customer base. With revenues of c.£25m+ and strong profitability, the company has delivered consistent growth in recent years and benefits from a loyal customer base, high levels of repeat business and a reputation for outstanding service. With shareholders now exploring strategic options, the incoming Managing Director will play a key role in shaping and delivering the next phase of growth, including leading the business through a transaction.
The Role
Reporting to the shareholders, the Managing Director will have full responsibility for the performance and strategic direction of the business.
Key areas of focus will include:
* Driving continued revenue growth and profitability
* Leading and developing an experienced leadership team
* Identifying and executing organic and acquisitive growth opportunities
* Maintaining a market leading customer proposition
* Preparing for and leading a future transaction process
This is a hands on leadership role within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
The Individual
We are seeking an ambitious, driven and commercially astute leader who can see the opportunity to create value and is motivated by building and scaling a business. You may already be operating at Managing Director level or be a senior leader ready to step up.
We are open to a range of backgrounds, including operational, commercial or financial, although experience within industrial, engineering, distribution or other asset-intensive environments would be advantageous.
