We are seeking two dedicated Behaviour Mentors to join our specialist SEMH school. Behaviour Mentor – 1:1 Support This role involves providing focused one-to-one support to students who require additional help in managing their emotions and behaviour. Key Responsibilities: * Support individual students with their emotional and behavioural needs. * Build strong, trusting relationships that promote positive engagement. * Encourage students to re-engage with learning and routines. * Occasionally patrol school grounds and assist with safety procedures. Ideal Candidate: * Calm, consistent and resilient. * Able to apply effective behaviour management strategies. * Experience working with children or young people in a supportive setting. Behaviour Mentor – Whole-School Support This wider role supports positive behaviour throughout the school, with a focus on building relationships, maintaining a safe environment, and promoting a positive school culture. Key Responsibilities: * Support behaviour across the school, both in and out of the classroom. * Patrol the site as required, encouraging students back into learning. * Engage positively with students during unstructured times. * Assist with safety procedures, including routine checks. Ideal Candidate: * Confident and proactive in working with young people. * A good understanding of the challenges SEMH students face. * Knowledge of the local area and community (desirable). * Driving licence (helpful but not essential).
