Position: Building Estimator based in Lympne, Kent
The role includes:
* Analyzing tender documentation and capturing client requirements.
* Producing accurate BOQ for pricing, reflecting client needs, with knowledge of CESSM 3, Highways Method of Measurement, or SMM7.
* Understanding costing for traditional and design-build contracts.
* Preparing material and sub-contractor enquiry documents.
* Carrying out site visits and incorporating findings into tender pricing.
* Assessing rates, creating or inserting quotes from subcontractors and materials.
* Preparing competitive commercial submissions for review and approval.
* Having knowledge of NEC3 and JCT Contracts, HSQE legislation, and construction methods.
* Participating in pre and post tender meetings.
* Understanding building materials and plant requirements.
Candidate requirements:
* At least 3 years of estimating experience.
* Experience with commercial/industrial projects.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
* Numerical proficiency and accuracy.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.
