Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage diverse groups of children will be essential in fostering their development.
Duties
* Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met.
* Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to track their development.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive team environment, demonstrating leadership skills when necessary.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Support children's emotional well-being by fostering positive relationships and encouraging social interactions.
Qualifications
* Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3) is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Ability to manage groups of children effectively while promoting positive behaviour.
* Leadership qualities that enable you to inspire and guide other staff members when required.
* A genuine drive to support children's learning and development in a nurturing environment.
* An understanding of the EYFS framework is advantageous.
