Overview: Title: Children's Learning Disability Support Worker Pay: £14ph - £14.50 inclusive of holiday pay Location: Lingfield, Surrey Hours: 08:45 - 16:00 Monday - Friday, Or Part time 3 days per week. Benefits: Excellent pay rates, weekly pay, and no payroll charges Variety of work across different social care and healthcare settings Vetro Mobile Booking App for shift availability and communication Dedicated support from a specialist consultant Free online training and subsidised practical training (TMVA, PMVA, PBM) Monthly "Agency Worker of the Month" prize (£50) Quarterly Golden Ticket draw with a £500 prize Easy 24-hour registration from the comfort of your own home Holiday pay (paid weekly or accumulated in a holiday pot) Vetro-contributed pension What you'll be doing as a Children's Learning Disability Support Worker: Support children and young people with learning disabilities in their day-to-day activities, including educational and social engagement Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to help implement and support Individual Education Plans and learning strategies Encourage independence and enhance wellbeing through positive reinforcement Assist with personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, mobility, and ensuring comfort and dignity in all activities Protect young people from any risks to their health and wellbeing, ensuring a safe and supportive environment Provide both emotional and practical support to help manage and overcome challenges Be proactive in managing challenging behaviours, working to minimise incidents and ensuring the safety and comfort of all involved What you'll need to be a successful Children's Support Worker: A genuine desire to support young people with learning disabilities and help them reach their full potential A compassionate, patient, and resilient nature At least 6 months of experience in working with children or within a similar social care or learning disability setting A valid UK driving licence (desirable) An Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service) or willingness to obtain one The right to work in the UK If you're passionate about helping children and young people with learning disabilities flourish, we would love to hear from you.
