Job Description
We're working with a respected civil engineering contractor that's looking to bring a Quantity Surveyor into their team based on the South Coast. They've got a strong reputation in the industry, a steady stream of work in the civils and utilities sectors, and a commercial team that offers genuine support and progression.
This role is ideal for someone with experience under their belt and who's looking for a long-term move. You'll be working on important infrastructure projects that really matter, with a business that values professionalism but keeps things grounded.
What you'll be doing:
* Helping to manage the costs on civils projects from start to finish
* Working with the commercial team on subcontractor procurement and payments
* Assisting with valuations, forecasting and cost reports
* Supporting with the management of change events and variations
* Attending client meetings and making sure commercial matters are on track
* Using NEC contracts (training provided if you're not fully up to speed)
What we're looking for:
1. Experience with a civils contractor - or similar infrastructure work
2. A good understanding of NEC contracts
3. A degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
4. Good with numbers, detail-focused, and able to work as part of a team
