We're seeking an organised, strategic thinker to oversee the entire bid process, delivering high-quality submissions and enhancing our bid function. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bid Coordinator ready to step into a managerial role or a Bid Manager with 2-3 years' experience eager to make an impact.
What You'll Do
* Lead the Bid Process
o Manage the full bid lifecycle, including PQQs, RFPs, ITTs, and framework applications.
o Act as Bid Lead on high-value opportunities, ensuring strategic alignment.
o Coordinate complex subcontractor proposals and support collaborative bids.
o Handle bid documentation, clarify requirements via portals, and ensure timely submissions.
o Review pricing to align with company strategy and collaborate with teams to balance resources and priorities.
* Shape Strategy
o Develop and maintain bid strategies, governance documents, and process frameworks.
o Analyse industry trends, competitor insights, and client feedback to strengthen bid approaches.
o Use market engagement and debrief feedback to refine pursuit and win strategies.
* Drive Insights
o Build dashboards to track bid pipeline, win/loss ratios, and key trends.
o Monitor data accuracy and update systems to support informed decision-making.
o Report on resource utilisation to optimise planning and bid outcomes.
* Manage Content
o Curate a library of reusable content, case studies, and team CVs.
o Contribute to communications about bids, opportunities, and contract wins.
* Ensure Compliance
o Lead applications to procurement frameworks, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
o Keep company profiles and certifications updated to maintain framework eligibility.
* Enhance Systems
o Collaborate with the Strategic Development Manager to advance our Business Development function, aligned with PAS 360:2023.
o Administer user accounts in our bid management system (MMIS), resolve data issues, and drive system improvements.
What We're Looking For
* Must-Haves
o Experience in bid management or proposal coordination.
o Strong understanding of procurement processes and framework applications.
o Exceptional project management and organisational skills.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office and bid tools (e.g., SharePoint, MMIS, or CRM systems like (url removed)).
o Strong analytical and communication skills.
* Nice-to-Haves
o APMP or similar certification.
o Experience in Defence or public procurement.
o Knowledge of commercial terms and the Public Procurement Act.
