Job Title: Mobile HVAC Engineer
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Mobile HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer to join the team covering sites in Manchester, Leeds, Wakefield, and Newcastle.
The successful candidate will perform Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance on Plant, Equipment, and Building Services.
Role Summary:
* Identify and manage risks to the client through site equipment, including critical spares, performance improvement of plant and equipment, environment management via BMS, and efficient operation of all plant and equipment, along with preventative maintenance.
* Utilize new equipment and technologies to maintain a comfortable environment, liaising with the client on reactive and PPM tasks.
* Fault find on HVAC plant and equipment, with a focus on Variable Refrigerant Volume air conditioning systems, and handle refrigerants with necessary F-Gas qualifications.
* Support team members regarding Health and Safety matters.
* Act as Energy Champion and assist as Safety Champion for the site.
* Provide Electrical and Mechanical expertise to the maintenance team.
* Draft and follow Risk Assessments, ensuring issues are addressed safely and accurately.
* Complete documentation in accordance with all rules and legislation.
* Use mobile devices to accurately project and complete work via the CAFM Maintenance System.
* Plan daily work requirements using email and calendars for efficiency.
* Liaise with onsite Supervisor and Account Manager to resolve Building Services issues confidently and accurately.
* Serve as responsible person for the team and deputize for the site supervisor during leave or sickness as required.
* Work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends, often without prior notice.
* Perform ad hoc duties as necessary.
* Supervise and manage subcontractors.
* Participate in an on-call rota for emergency call-outs outside normal hours.
Experience Required:
* A Recognized or Time Served Apprenticeship
* Proven experience in HVAC maintenance
* Mechanical competencies/qualifications to City and Guilds standards
* Strong multi-skilled abilities
* Fault-finding skills
* Contractor supervision capabilities
* Ability to complete Risk Assessments and Method Statements
* Understanding and writing of Permits and safe systems of work
* F-Gas safe handling and refrigerant use
Desirable:
* Working at Height Qualification
* IPAF / PASMA
* AP Qualifications
* BMS system experience
* HVAC Controls
