We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager to play a key role in the evolution of a growing business. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining people management with technical accounting expertise, system improvement and close interaction with senior stakeholders. The Role You'll take responsibility for leading a small finance team, ensuring the smooth running of core transactional and management accounting activities while driving improvements in controls, reporting and processes. As the business continues to scale, you'll help shape a finance function that is robust, efficient and fit for the next phase of growth. Key responsibilities include: Leading, mentoring and developing a team responsible for sales ledger, credit control, purchase ledger, payroll and management accounts, stepping in operationally when needed Building team capability to meet future business demands, identifying skills gaps and supporting recruitment as the function grows Enhancing financial controls, reporting and processes Delivering accurate month-end close and performance reporting to local leadership and group finance within strict deadlines Supporting both routine and ad hoc reporting requests from central finance and private equity stakeholders Producing forecasts, budgets and cashflow projections to support business planning Playing a key role in the migration from Sage 50 to the group's chosen accounting system About You You'll be a qualified accountant with broad experience in complex, multi-site environments and a proven ability to lead teams through change. We're looking for someone who: Holds a recognised UK accounting qualification and has strong post-qualification experience Thrives under pressure and consistently delivers high-quality reporting to demanding timelines Is highly comfortable with financial systems and data, with advanced Excel skills Has a strong track record of managing, motivating and developing finance teams in fast-moving organisations Is collaborative and flexible, but confident enough to challenge and enforce strong financial discipline Communicates clearly and effectively, with the ability to influence at all levels of the business This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive finance professional who enjoys combining leadership, technical delivery and continuous improvement in a growing business.
