Southern Housing is looking for a creative Graphic Designer to produce high‑quality visual content that strengthens our brand across our digital channels and print collateral. Working within the Communications team, and reporting to the Lead Graphic Designer, you’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation to deliver engaging, consistent and accessible design work.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Collaborating with internal clients to develop comprehensive project briefs
* Evaluating deliverables and communicating realistic outputs based on time, budget and existing priorities
* Creating high-quality designs for both digital and print outputs
* Pitching your work to key project stakeholders, acting on feedback and challenging where appropriate
* Liaising with external suppliers or agencies for physical production requirements
* Supporting colleagues and promptly delivering designs for reactive communications
* Managing multiple projects at once, prioritising based on deadlines and business impact
* Producing quality designs, often working with restricted budgets and with tight deadlines
* Acting as a brand guardian, prioritising visual consistency and accessibility in all work produced
* Developing our brand by keeping up to date with design tools, trends and industry best practice.
This role is offered on a Fixed Term contract until 31 of May 2027 and can be based in either our London (Farringdon) or Kent (Sittingbourne) office. The role offers flexibility to work in a hybrid way, with minimum of two office-based days a week, as agreed with your manager.
What You’ll Need
* A relevant graphic design qualification
* Strong skills using Adobe Creative Cloud (including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat) and Microsoft Office apps (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
* Confidence in working on both Mac and Windows systems
* Experience in publication design and understanding of prepress and production processes
* Experience in design for digital environments and social channels
* Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
* Ability to interpret and respond creatively to briefs.
