TeacherActive is urgently recruiting for a passionate English Lecturer to work within a well-established Further Education setting in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated educator who is committed to helping students develop strong literacy, communication, and analytical skills in a supportive learning environment. The college is seeking an enthusiastic individual who can deliver engaging English lessons, inspire a love of language and literature, and support students in achieving their academic goals.
The Role
* Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons to FE students
* Plan and prepare effective learning activities that support literacy development
* Support students in improving reading, writing, and communication skills
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
* Contribute positively to the department and wider college environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Experience teaching English within a further education or secondary setting
* A relevant degree or qualification in English or a related subject
* A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, PTTLS, PTTLS, CTTLS)
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* A genuine passion for supporting students to achieve their potential
