The wider team includes specialists in procurement and contract strategy, claims management and dispute resolution services. We are the first consultancy recognised by the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) for excellence in procurement processes in the construction sector.


The Role

The individual will work and lead a highly skilled team delivering best-in-class strategic procurement and contract advice, including end-to-end procurement services for major brands and programmes. This role is part of the growing Contract Services team and supports expansion into Sustainable Procurement, Transformation, Renewables, Digital Procurement and Net Zero Strategies.


Main Responsibilities

* Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to public and private sector clients.
* Lead and manage end-to-end procurement services on major projects or programmes.
* Lead and support the development of procurement services offered by Turner & Townsend.
* Lead and develop a team to achieve successful client outcomes.
* Manage client relationships, commissions, and related deliverables.
* Lead and support business development and marketing of the Contract Services team’s offering.
* Lead on bid preparation and proposal documentation; support work winning capability of the division.
* Support delivery of team and wider business targets.

Qualifications and Experience

* Experience in regulated procurement, particularly Public Contract Regulations 2015, with awareness of related changes.
* Experience leading strategic major procurement projects or programmes for public and private sector clients.
* Strong background in tender preparation, development and management, including negotiation.
* Experience in commissions, client relationships, and people management.
* Experience with various contract forms, especially NEC and JCT.
* Cross-sector experience with a public procurement background is highly desirable.
* Willingness to work towards MCIPs accreditation.
* Business generation including bid development.
* Degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law or procurement preferred.
* Experience in Defence, Utilities, Infrastructure sectors preferred.
* SC security clearance – currently valid or can be reinstated.

* Strong client relationship skills and issue resolution.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
* Ability to develop supplier evaluation, commercial principles and modelling strategies.
* Ability to develop Supply Chain Intelligence and Supplier Relationship Management strategies.
* Able to manage business development and career development activities.
* Excellent attention to detail.
