Your new role
* Process invoices and match them to purchase orders.
* Set up payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Manage the finance mailbox, respond to supplier queries, and maintain effective communication.
* Reconcile supplier statements and ensure outstanding balances are accurate and current.
* Manage bi-monthly payment runs.
* Assist in preparing management accounts and support month-end procedures.
* Support grant claim preparations and assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
* Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting and process improvements.
What you'll need to succeed
* Previous experience in an accounts assistant role is preferred but not essential.
* High accuracy and attention to detail are required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary.
* Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero is a plus.
* Effective communication skills are crucial for interacting with stakeholders.
What you'll get in return
* Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 (dependent on experience)
