The Post: We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Capital Project Manager to lead the delivery of the Council’s key, strategic Capital Projects. In this role, you will manage the successful delivery of complex, high-value projects, including: New schools New Council homes Mixed-use developments Leisure facilities You’ll manage multi-million-pound budgets, senior level governance arrangements, and complex inter-dependent project plans. You’ll ensure that all projects meet critical timescales, are completed within approved budgets, and are delivered to a high standard. The Person: The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction and capital project management, backed by a relevant professional qualification as well as: A proven track record of successfully delivering large capital projects on time, within budget, and to high quality A solid understanding of public sector finance. The ability to navigate competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Strong relationship-building skills to engage with partners and stakeholders at all levels, providing valuable advice and guidance where required An ambition to drive change within the department, a genuine passion for achieving outstanding outcomes for the Council and its residents. Central to your success will be: Strong knowledge of procurement processes.
