Key Responsibilities *Prepare instruments and set up surgical equipment to ensure a sterile and efficient environment. *Assist in positioning, preparing, and draping patients according to surgical procedures. *Support the surgical team by scrubbing in for surgery and anticipating the surgeon's needs for equipment and instruments. *Label and document medications and other items used in the operating room accurately. *Monitor and record the patient's respiratory and cardiovascular signs throughout the procedure. *Communicate effectively with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure smooth and successful operations. *Consider potential complications and develop a plan of action for any necessary lifesaving measures. *Maintain strict hygiene standards, including washing hands and arms with surgical soap before and after procedures.
