About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Sales Leadership professional to join our team in the Midlands. The role is Home Based but will be working across the Region in a field based capacity supporting and developing a team of 9 Financial Advisers across the Midlands (Leek/Uttoxeter across to Stamford)
Your primary objective is to deliver sustainable profitable growth through the effective leadership and development of your team whilst maintaining effective relationships with Agents (22 including the largest NFU Mutual Agent in the UK), Customer Services function, partners, and our target customers.
As the Sales Manager you’ll lead, manage, coach and develop people so that they can deliver their objectives and realise their potential, ensuring the team are engaged and motivated. You’ll formulate and implement plans and make sure your team are capable of the delivery of quality advice and sales targets.
You will also be responsible for monitoring and reviewing activity and driving lead generation to support holistic advice appointments and sales to demonstrate achievement of Advice Standards and Sales Quality.
Your overall objective will be to deliver sales targets and adhere to cost centre budget through the effective management and development of a competent and engaged sales team. You will also be ensuring the activities undertaken adhere to the regulatory expectations of a certified role.
At NFU Mutual we are a tied salesforce offering a range of NFU Mutual products as well as those of our partnering external providers (ie. protection, annuities) to our loyal client base. On average our FA’s work very closely with 2-3 NFUM Agencies and develop deep relationships and have access to their clients via a warm introduction.
This role would suit an experienced Financial Services Professional who has experience of successfully leading remote sales teams. You may have worked as a Financial Advisor before and enjoy using your knowledge to develop the potential in others.
This is a homeworking role requiring multi-site travel up to 4 days per week out into the field.
Certification
This role is subject to certification. Certification applies to key roles within the organisation that meet set criteria defined by our regulators.
Certification is an internal process undertaken in line with regulatory requirements that is to be in place on appointment and annually thereafter.
Certified Function
This role is subject to certification for MSIL due to being identified as:
Manager of Certified Employees
A person who manages or supervises a Certified employee.
This role is responsible for the management of certified employees, and as such is held to the same standard of accountability. The inclusion of this role in the certification hierarchy ensures a clear chain of accountability between the managed certified employees and the Senior Manager ultimately responsible for that area.
About you
Currently working in Financial Services and with experience of sales leadership, your track record of success in a regulated environment will make you a highly credible candidate. We expect you to be suitably qualified to QCF Level 4 and you must also have;
* Experience of leading and motivating a geographically diverse team.
* Strong knowledge/understanding of the Regulatory environment
* Proven success in a holistic financial advice environment.
