Markets Operations Belfast Overview:
Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business. We support a wide range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience.

Role Overview:
The Spread Products (SP) Middle Office is responsible for supporting the Front Office Markets Sales and Trading desks by building, maintaining and providing a robust operational risk and control framework. The Middle Office also serves as an essential liaison between the Front Office and their counterparties, as well as control functions like Operations, Technology and Product Control.
The SP Middle Office is looking for a candidate to provide Middle Office support to the SP Cash trading desks.
What you'll do
1. Process securities transactions, provide analytic input for traders and aid in review of cash products
2. Utilize data analysis tools and methodologies, in conjunction with professional judgement to make process improvement recommendations
3. Resolve settlement related issues and escalate as needed; recommend solutions to resolve complex issues
4. Participate in the implementation of assigned projects, including new products, services and upgrades to platforms
5. Identify policy gaps and formulate new policies to enhance the streamlining of trade flow processes
6. Monitor and provide solutions to errors to minimize risk to the bank
7. Provide informal guidance, and/or on the job training to new team members
8. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
What we'll need from you:
9. Significant experience in financial markets business or a supporting functional area.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
11. Professional and motivated team player with a “can do” attitude.
12. Experience working and building relationships in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders.
13. Risk oriented: able to identify emerging and crystallized issues, look across, and flag matters requiring escalation.
